Caffe Mauro

Caffè Mauro was founded in 1949 by Demetrio Mauro, beginning operations in a small warehouse at the port of Reggio Calabria with the company's first roasting machine. The company established itself among Italy's major roasters by selecting coffee varieties from around the world, then roasting them using its distinctive slow roasting process and blending them into unique mixtures. The company characterizes its approach as creating blends that convey Mediterranean emotion, and states it serves both professional and retail segments. Caffè Mauro is now part of Gruppo Gimoka S.p.A., a group with headquarters in Cinisello Balsamo near Milan.
