No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage, no database. It runs no analytics, no tag manager and no advertising or social pixels, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.

Every file a page needs is served from comanufacturers.eu, including the typefaces. Your browser makes no request to Google, to a CDN or to any other third party while you read the directory, so no one else learns that you were here.

The one exception is a link you choose to follow: listing pages link to the companies’ own websites, and once you click, you are on their site under their terms.

What you send us

Three forms on this site collect personal data, and only when you fill them in.

A sourcing brief

The sourcing brief asks what you want made, the volume, stage and timeline, and how to reach you — your name, company, email, and optionally a phone number and website. We use it to judge whether we can run the search, to quote a fee and to carry out the search. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b): steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

A brief often describes a product that has not launched. We treat it as confidential: it is not published, not shared with the manufacturers we approach in a form that identifies you without your agreement, and not sold or passed to anyone as a lead. Briefs are kept for three years so we can pick up a conversation that resumes later, then deleted.

The contact form

Your name, email and message, used to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) in replying to people who write to us. Kept for two years.

Submitting or claiming a listing

Business contact details for the person submitting, so we can verify the entry and come back with questions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f): running a directory whose entries can be checked. Kept for as long as the listing is published, and for two years after it is removed.

The directory entries

Entries are built from public sources — company websites, public registers, trade bodies and industry listings — rather than collected from the companies themselves. Most of it is information about a business, not about a person. Where an entry includes a named individual’s work contact details, we rely on Article 6(1)(f): buyers need a route to a producer, and a work email at a company that sells manufacturing capacity is a limited intrusion.

Individual contact details are held for editorial use and are not displayed on listing pages. If you are named in an entry and would rather not be, write to info@akaterra.com and we will remove your details. You do not have to explain why.

Some entries are enriched by reading the company’s public website with an AI model. Only the website address is sent; nothing from our records and no personal data goes with it.

Email we send

We reply to what you send us, and we confirm receipt of a sourcing brief. If we have emailed you because your company is listed here and you want no further mail, reply to the message or write to info@akaterra.com, and we will stop and record it.

Server logs

Our web server records requests, including the IP address they came from, to keep the site up and to spot abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f): security and keeping the service running. These logs rotate automatically and are not used to build a profile of you or combined with anything else.

Who else handles it

We keep the number of companies involved deliberately small. Our servers are at Hetzner in Germany, and the database is Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt. Both are inside the EU.

Email is sent through Resend, which is in the United States. That transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. It applies only to the message itself — your reply address and what the message says.

None of these companies may use your data for their own purposes.

Where the law keeps it longer

If a brief or an enquiry turns into paid work, the invoice and the records behind it fall under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act, which requires us to keep accounting material for seven years. That obligation overrides the periods above for those documents, and it is the one case where we cannot delete something on request.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interest, you can object, and for entries in the directory that objection is enough on its own — we do not ask for a reason.

Write to info@akaterra.com. We answer within a month. If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se) or to the authority where you live.
