Heimann Csaladi Birtok

Family Szekszárd Szekszárdi Bikavér winery.

Heimann Családi Birtok is a family-owned wine estate in Szekszárd, a traditional Hungarian wine region. The estate is managed by id. Heimann Zoltán and Ágnes, with their son ifj. Zoltán, who studied abroad before joining the family operation. The vineyard parcels are located in the Dunántúli dombság hills with loess and red clay soils that shelter vines from the Danube-facing cooler slopes to the warmer south-eastern exposures overlooking the Great Plain.

The producer has been practicing organic viticulture since 2014, conducting trials without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. Full organic certification is planned for 2025, with their first certified organic harvest of Kékfrankos, Kadarka and Viognier grapes occurring in 2023. The estate operates a press house and cellar where tastings are held for visitors. They produce wine ranges under their own labels including vintage Kékfrankos and Kadarka, limited releases and selections with a webshop for direct sales. The EU organic logo is displayed on their website.

The family received the Art is Business award in 2025 for their patronage of cultural and artistic initiatives. Id. Heimann Zoltán was named European Wine Expert of the Year by Baden-Württemberg in 2011, Man of the Year by Wino Magazine Poland in 2017, and Winemaker of the Year in Hungary in 2023.
