Jaunpils Pienotava is part of a dairy cooperative established in 1912, one of the first dairy cooperative societies in Latvia. The cooperative operates three production facilities: in Põltsamaa (Estonia, largest cheese producer in Estonia), Järva-Jaani (Estonia, produces demineralised whey powder), and Jaunpils (Latvia, largest curd producer in Latvia). The company processes 450–500 tonnes of milk monthly supplied by cooperative members from Latvia and Estonia.
The Jaunpils facility produces a range of dairy products including curd, sour cream, fresh and matured cheeses (including Tilsit-type and hard cheeses), butter, yogurt and desserts. Core products are curd and cream. The company offers sliced cheese variants in flavours including Russian, Dutch, Gouda, Curonian, Maasdam, Edam, and smoked cheese varieties. Lactose-free versions of curd, cream and yogurt are manufactured for consumers with dietary requirements.
