Penderyn Distillery

Penderyn Wales 2000 single malt, gin and rum distillery.

Penderyn Distillery was established in 2000 in the Brecon Beacons and was Wales' first whisky distillery in over 100 years. The company operates three distillery locations: the headquarters in Brecon (established 2000, open 7 days per week), a second facility in Llandudno (opened May 2021, open Wednesday to Sunday), and a third at Swansea Copperworks (opened June 2023, open Wednesday to Saturday). The distillery produces single malt whiskies in multiple ranges including Gold, Dragon, Icons of Wales, and Single Cask Limited Editions, along with gin, vodka, and rum. The company holds Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status for Single Malt Welsh Whisky. Penderyn's products are filled into glass bottles and undergo alcoholic fermentation as part of the production process. The distillery operates visitor facilities offering tours and masterclasses at all three locations.
