Pernigotti

Piedmontese chocolate and gianduiotti producer offering private-label.

Founded in 1860 by Stefano Pernigotti in Novi Ligure, the company began as a grocery store before specializing in confectionery. The company became renowned for its torrone and began producing the gianduiotto chocolate praline in 1927, which became an iconic product in Italian chocolate tradition. By 1882, the Italian Royal House recognized Pernigotti as an official supplier. The core product portfolio includes gianduiotti, cremini, nocciolati, torrone, and chocolate-covered products, available in sachets, gift boxes, and spread formats. The company was recognized as a historic brand by Invitalia, which acquired a 25% minority stake in July 2023 with the objective of developing commercial synergies and creating an Italian centre of chocolate excellence with Walcor of Cremona. The company emphasizes research into new flavours and quality ingredients while maintaining historical recipes and production methods.
