The company operates specialized technology platforms including oligonucleotide synthesis with solid-phase and sterile lyophilised capabilities, cryogenic chemistry to negative 90 degrees Celsius, high-potency API containment to OEB 5/6 standards at 10 nanograms per cubic meter, and complex formulation technologies such as co-integrated dry-powder inhalers, long-acting injectables with nano-milling and lyophilisation, and preservative-free multidose ophthalmics. Additional capabilities encompass soft gelatin capsules at one billion units annually, complex sterile injectables, blow-fill-seal parenterals, and hazardous chemistry including Grignard, lithiation, and phosgenation processes.
Polpharma serves over 600 global partners across 40 plus directly reached markets and 100 plus licensed markets. The company operates as both a CDMO and CMO for APIs and finished dosage forms, offering co-development services, technology transfer, and commercialization support through in-licensing and out-licensing programs. With annual revenue exceeding 1.3 billion euros and 6,200 plus employees, Polpharma serves as the sole manufacturer of 42 essential medicines in Poland and supplies approximately one in three medicines used in Polish hospitals.
