Brothers Dim Kissa and Co. Oe

Kissas produces traditional Greek dairy products, especially Feta PDO, from sheep and goat milk sourced from the Agrafa region since 1969.

Founded in 1969 by Lambros Kissas, this family-owned dairy company is rooted in the mountainous Agrafa region of Greece. The company specializes in the production of traditional barrel-aged Feta PDO cheese, yogurts, sour milk, butter, and desserts made from high-quality sheep and goat milk sourced locally from the Agrafa and Mousaki areas. The milk collection occurs daily using specialized refrigerated tankers to ensure optimal raw material quality.

Despite technological advancements over its 50+ years of operation, Kissas maintains traditional production methods with significant human involvement in the manufacturing process. The company relocated from Stefaniada to Mousaki in 1984 to better serve growing demand and improve logistics for milk collection and product distribution. In 2005, the facility was modernized to its current form.

The barrel-aged Feta cheese matures traditionally in wooden barrels, which allows for proper oxygenation during aging and develops the characteristic aroma and slightly piquant taste. The milk from natural, mountainous pastures rich in diverse flora contributes superior protein content and flavor complexity to the final products.

Kissas has won multiple awards for its products, including gold and silver medals. Distribution covers over 200 retail points primarily in Thessaly, Greece, with exports mainly to EU countries.
