Chateau Valtice

Valtice Vinné sklepy Moravian winery.

Château Valtice—Vinné sklepy Valtice, a.s.—is one of the oldest and most significant wine producers in the Czech Republic. Operating as a family enterprise with deep Moravian roots, the company is led by Antonín Šťastný and his two sons Marek and David. Marek oversees production and wine quality as general director; David manages marketing and strategy; and Antonín supervises vineyards and land. The vineyardmaking tradition in the Šťastný family was founded by Antonín's father Jakub (1910–2006), who in the post-war period was among the first to graft European vine cultivars onto American rootstock resistant to phylloxera.

The company produces a range of white and red wines under its Premium Collection, Family Reserve, and other lines, released in 0.5 and 0.75 litre formats. Wines are aged in barrels and available with custom labelling. The cellar dating from 1430 is used for aging red wines. Château Valtice operates tasting facilities including the Vinařská stodola (Winery Barn) and Vinařská pohotovost locations, with regular tastings and tours offered April through November.

The wines have won multiple competitions including Prague Wine Trophy, Grand Prix Vinex, and the Great American IWC awards. The company is a member of local wine associations including VOC Valtice, VOC Mikulov, and the Czech Wine Association (Svaz vinařů ČR).
