Distelberger is a 900-year-old family farm estate in Gigerreith, near Amstetten in the Mostviertel, run by the Distelberger-Pfligl family. The farm operates on 5 hectares of certified orchards specializing in traditional mostbirn (most pear) cultivation. The company produces a range of beverages including mostbirn ciders, pear champagne (birnensekt), craft ciders, juices and balsamic vinegars, processing fruit directly from their own orchards. Products are filled into glass bottles and include still and carbonated beverages. Beyond manufacturing, the estate operates a farm shop (GenussLaden) and a traditional tavern (Mostheuriger) where visitors can taste and purchase products. The property is recognized as part of the Mostviertel Genussregion and the farm's orchards have been recognized as part of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2023.
