The Helsinki Distilling Company began operations in 2014 as the first distillery in Helsinki for over one hundred years. Located in Teurastamo, the former abattoir and food culture district, the company hand-crafts premium gin, whiskey, and other spirits from local ingredients. Beyond distillation, the company operates a full bar and restaurant called Tislaamo at its premises, offering cocktails and craft food. The company also manages a whiskey cellar offering tours and tastings, and sells whiskey casks directly. The product range includes whiskey, gin, spirits, long drinks, cocktails, and alcohol-free distillates under its own brand, as well as the Muteman Drinks line. The company maintains an active tourism element with guided distillery and whiskey cellar tours available for booking.
