Pelagia is a pelagic seafood processor operating across more than 20 communities in five countries, with 14 processing facilities in Norway and Northern Europe. The company operates three core business divisions: Pelagia Food processes pelagic fish in various formats including fresh, frozen, and marinated products for export. Pelagia Feed produces fishmeal, marine oils, and protein concentrates for feed and food applications. Pelagia Health, trading under the EPAX® brand name, develops and supplies premium marine ingredients for dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals, including omega-3 products and specialist fatty acids such as VLC-PUFAs. Pelagia Services (formerly Hordafor), established in 1983, handles processing of by-products from fisheries and aquaculture industries. The company emphasises use of 100 percent of raw material in production to minimise waste and environmental footprint.
