Stockholms Bränneri was founded in 2016 by Anna and Calle in a converted Jaguar workshop on Södermalm island in Stockholm. The company describes itself as the first craft distillery in Stockholm, producing handcrafted spirits including multiple gin expressions (Dry, Oak, Pink, Navy Strength), akvavit, and vodka, all made from organic ingredients. The portfolio also includes fortified aperitifs (Svart, Röd, and Apéro), ready-to-drink bottled cocktails in glass (Negroni Rosa, Espresso Martini, Martini, Winter Negroni, Winter Nogroni, Glögg), and ready-to-drink cocktails in cans (Garden Smash, Pink Paloma, Apple Punch, Dry & Tonic, and non-alcoholic variants). All products are certified organic by SMAK (SE-EKO-03) and use locally sourced Swedish ingredients where possible.
The company's gins have won multiple medals at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. Products are distributed through Systembolaget, Sweden's state alcohol retailer, with the Dry Gin and Pink Gin available in approximately 110 and 125 stores respectively. Stockholms Bränneri operates a bar and tasting venue called Brännerian at its production location, offering tastings and events. The company also produces non-alcoholic cocktails in cans and a tonic water mixer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it briefly produced hand sanitizer using heads and tails from spirit production.
