Westfleisch SCE is a cooperative founded in 1928, owned by more than 5,200 farmers and producing approximately 900,000 tonnes of meat annually. The company operates ten production facilities across northwestern Germany and works throughout the full value chain from livestock production through processing to convenience products. Annual output is split roughly two-thirds to the domestic German market and one-third to export, with exported volumes distributed between the EU and third countries.

The company processes fresh and processed pork, beef and veal supplied through contractual partnerships with member farmers and marketing partners. Key processing capabilities include industrial cooking, block freezing and vacuum packing. Product range encompasses fresh meat, charcuterie and convenience items. Westfleisch emphasizes traceability and quality assurance through member contracts, positioning the company as a direct-to-consumer supply link that guarantees animal origin and production standards.

Certifications and quality framework participation include QS (Qualitätssicherung) and the Initiative Tierwohl (animal welfare initiative). The company holds multiple animal welfare programme partnerships including Bauernliebe, Mehr Tierwohl, Strohwohl, Gute Haltung, Hof-Rind and housing form 3 (Haltungsform 3). Main customers are major German food retail and foodservice operators, as well as meat processing industries downstream.
