The company traces its origins to "Žitopromet Bratstvo" from the early 20th century and acquired its current name in 2007. In 2010, Cyprus-based Mitsides Public Company Ltd. became the majority owner. The company operates a fully automated factory with two production lines: one for short pasta and one for long pasta, each with a 1-tonne per hour capacity, enabling production of up to 50 tonnes of dried pasta daily. The Panona brand has been established since 2006 and holds a leading position in the Serbian pasta market. The company offers multiple pasta products including standard dried pasta, durum wheat varieties, and pasta specifically formulated for children. Their products are distributed through major retail chains across Serbia.
