Founded in 1992 by Jan Jaap Roelevink, Yarrah produces organic dog and cat food across dry kibble, wet food in cans and pouches, and treats. The company operates as a market leader in organic pet food in the Netherlands and supplies over 22 countries worldwide. Products include extruded kibble, grain-free and vegetarian options for dogs, and complete cat nutrition. Wet food products are packaged in cans and pouches.
Yarrah emphasises the use of organic ingredients sourced from certified biological farmers and producers. The company conducts supplier audits to verify organic credentials and animal welfare standards before processing raw materials. Products are formulated to address specific lifecycle and dietary needs, including options for puppies, kittens, senior animals, sterilised cats, and dogs with dietary sensitivities.
The company holds organic certification (EU standard) and the Beter-Leven welfare certification. All products are formulated without artificial colour, flavour or fragrance additives. Vegetarian and vegan formulations have been offered since 1995. The company also produces organic cat litter.
