Salumificio Fratelli Riva S.p.A.

Italian meat processor specializing in cooked ham and traditional charcuterie products, including antibiotic-free and organic lines. Among Italy's leading producers of branded and private label cooked ham.

Salumificio Fratelli Riva was founded by brothers Umberto and Luciano Riva in Molteno, Brianza, in Lombardy. Starting with a complete butchery cycle in 1969, the company processed 150 pigs weekly. During the early 1990s, the brothers made a strategic decision to specialize exclusively in cooked ham production, dismantling the slaughterhouse operations. The company relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility in Via Rossini in 1996, which represented a significant technological leap and became a model of integrated advanced manufacturing for Italy, producing approximately 30,000 cooked hams weekly. In 2007, the facility was expanded with new areas for sliced ham production and clean rooms for portioning. The company also produces roasted poultry products and maintains traditional salami production. A new facility expansion in 2007 added capabilities for sliced ham production and hygienic portioning. The company holds IFS and KIWA certifications, is Italy's first certified RETRAY company for environmental commitment, and offers antibiotic-free and organic product lines alongside its traditional offerings.
