Established in 1898 as a family business by Johann Stastnik in Gerasdorf (Mistelbach area), the company has grown to become one of Austria's prominent salami producers. The company operates under a "Slow-how" philosophy, emphasizing slow maturation processes for its cured meat products. Stastnik produces a range of charcuterie including salami, cabanossi, jausenstangerl, kantwurst, dauerwurst, speck, ham and roasted meats, and poultry products. The company won the AMA "Produkt Champion" award in 2018 for its Camembert Salami in the self-service category. Recent innovations include a hüllenlose (skinless) brühwurst variety marketed as Heurigen Stangerl.
