Conservas Los Peperetes is a family-owned canned fish and seafood producer based in Carril (Cambados), Galicia, founded in 1993 by Jesús Lorenzo. The company sources exclusively from local suppliers in the Rías of Galicia, particularly the Ría de Arousa, and produces only from fresh raw materials with limited annual volumes. All production is artisanal and entirely manual, based on traditional family recipes passed down through generations of conservery makers. The company holds certifications including Artesanía Alimentaria (Food Craftsmanship), certification from the Galician Craftsmanship Authority (SAE), Elaborado en Galicia (Made in Galicia), FDA certification for export, and compliance with Pesca de Rías standards for sustainable local fishing.
The product range includes canned fish (sardines, anchovies, tuna belly) and seafood (mussels, scallops, squid, crab, sea urchin roe) presented in oils, butters, escabeche, and other preparations. The company also produces specialty items such as a DOP mussel pâté launched in 2024. Products are distributed through professional channels including specialised food shops, high-end restaurants, and distributors, as well as direct-to-consumer online sales. The facility is open for visits and tastings during business hours.
