Galbani was founded in 1882 and joined Groupe Lactalis in 2006, becoming part of Lactalis Italia when that group was created in 2007. Lactalis Italia is the leading player in Italy's dairy sector, commercialising over 500 products through brands including Galbani, Invernizzi, Cademartori, Locatelli and Président. The company operates five production facilities in Italy under Spa Egidio Galbani, all with production lines certified to BRC Global Standard Food and environmental certification UNI EN ISO 14001. Galbani performs over 2 million quality checks annually throughout the production chain. Its logistics network includes a central warehouse at Ospedaletto Lodigiano and the biG distribution network covering 111 commercial units and over 1,000 refrigerated vehicles across Italy, serving approximately 55,000 customers. The company employs about 3,000 staff.
