Wolf Nudeln

Güssing 1956 number 2 Austrian pasta producer (~5,500t/yr) producing Eigold, Goldfaden and Carpe Pastam; CO₂-neutral with PL paper packaging.

Wolf Nudeln GmbH manufactures dry pasta at its facility in Güssing, Austria. The company uses high-quality raw materials including regional grain and eggs from its own holdings. Production encompasses mixing the dough according to specific recipes, pressing or rolling the dough through special forms to create various pasta shapes including Penne and Fleckerl, drying the pasta at controlled temperatures, and packaging. Modern filling and packaging machinery ensures precise portioning. The company operates an on-site biogas plant that converts production residues into energy and heat for use in manufacturing. Wolf Nudeln switched to 100 percent paper packaging in 2018, developed through a six-year collaboration with Bosch and papermaker Billerud Körsnäs. All production occurs at a single location in the Burgenland region, making the company a vertically integrated operator from raw material processing through finished product. The brand is distributed through major Austrian retail chains including Spar, Eurospar, Interspar, Billa and regional retailers.
