Moulin de Sarré

One of the last French mills producing flour exclusively on stone wheels; family-run since 1908, supplying bakeries domestically and abroad.

Moulin de Sarré is a family-run miller in Gennes-Val-de-Loire, Anjou, operating as one of France's few remaining stone mills. The Lauriou family has managed the mill as millers since 1908, now in its fifth generation, maintaining traditional stone grinding methods. The mill produces flours from multiple cereal bases including wheat, spelt (épeautre and petit épeautre), buckwheat, rye, and corn, available in both conventional and organic certifications. Production is marketed as Produit en Anjou. The mill supplies bakeries at local, national and international levels, with flours also sold through specialized retailers and an online shop. The company states its flours contain no additives.
