Pastificio Faella

Artisanal PGI Pasta di Gragnano producer, family-run, premium private-label.

Pastificio Gaetano Faella was founded in 1870 by Gaetano Faella and relocated to its current location at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi in Gragnano in 1907. The business is now run by the founder's grandchildren. The pastificio produces artisanal dry pasta using exclusively Italian durum wheat semolina, water from the Lattari Mountains, bronze die extrusion, and traditional low-temperature drying at a maximum of 48°C for up to 60 hours. The pasta carries the European Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) for Pasta di Gragnano, recognised since October 2013. Product formats include penne, paccheri, spaghettoni, candele and cavatelli, along with related products such as pasta sauces. The company also produces speciality formats using heritage Italian grains such as Senatore Cappelli.

The company has received multiple recognitions including the WineHunter Award 2023, the Gambero Rosso Top Italian Food Award 2022 for its paccheri, and the WH Food Award 2024 for Spaghettoni di Gragnano IGP. Packaging is made of porcellanated cardboard certified as fully recyclable under ATICELCA 501. The pastificio welcomes guided factory tours by appointment and maintains a direct-to-consumer online shop and physical retail location in Gragnano.
