Flechtorfer Mühle Walter Thönebe GmbH is a family-owned milling company with a tradition dating back to 1370. The enterprise operates three modern milling facilities across Germany: the main Flechtorfer Mühle in Bad Grund, Avena Cerealien in Karstädt, Brandenburg, and Bio-Mühle Göddenstedt. Together, these mills process approximately 230,000 tonnes of grain annually with a workforce of 140 employees. The company produces a comprehensive range of flour products including wheat, rye, spelt, and specialty grain flours, as well as grain groats and baking mixes. Avena Cerealien specializes in oat flakes and muesli blends, while Bio-Mühle Göddenstedt focuses on organic certified products. The company has continuously modernized its operations through expansions in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, enabling both domestic sales and significant export business.
