Maison Lafitte

Family-owned (since 1920) producer of foie gras and conserves Sud-Ouest — Label Rouge — branded and private label.

Maison Lafitte is a family business founded in 1920 in Montaut, Landes, specializing in traditional duck foie gras from the region. The company sources ducks from small farms within 40km of its production facility, which are raised to slow-growth heritage breeds and fed non-GMO whole grain maize. All preserved products are made by hand in-house without additives or preservatives, offered as whole foie gras, blocks, confits, pâtés, terrines, rillettes, and prepared regional dishes. The company maintains seven retail shops in France and sells through restaurants, specialty food retailers, and online. Ducks used are certified and sourced under a monitored system following independent controls; the production method represents less than 5% of national output. Maison Lafitte offers fresh raw foie gras and magret de canard alongside its preserved range of cassoulets, daubes, salmis, and lamproie à la Bordelaise.
